Papa Takes Flight - 80th birthday surprise training flight

In November, we had the amazing opportunity to help Papa, Dustin’s grandad and a retired Army helicopter pilot, take to the skies again on his 80th birthday. As a surprise, the family bought him a training flight (30 minutes classroom time and 30 minutes flight time) on a Robinson R44 from Alamo Helicopter Tours. Tuskegee visit to Stinson

Late Monday night while working in the office I was asked a question by an older gentleman by the name of William A. Samber. While talking with him and his children I came to find out that he was a member of the original Tuskegee airmen, serving as an Air Traffic Controller.
