This morning when I arrived at Stinson there was so much activity on the ramp that I wasn't sure I was at the right place. Airlife was lifting off from their maintenance hangar with a civil air patrol plane on the taxi way getting ready to take off and 2 blimps out in the center sod, but that's not all! This is a S58T made by Sikorsky. It was used a lot in the military.
This is a Bell 212 also an older model. Both of these aircraft are no longer in production but are still great work horses in the civilian field. The aircraft were just passing through on their way to fight fires in Mexico. The Bell is from California and the Sikorsky is from Michigan.
What a great place to work, you never know what you will see. More photos are loaded on the home page of these two fire fighting helicopters.
